Hyperopia

Hyperopia, also known as farsightedness, is a refractive error wherein light rays focus behind rather than on the retina. The cornea is not curved steeply enough to focus the rays on the retina. The eye may be too short specific to the power of the eye, or the power may be too low specific to the length of a standard eye. Hyperopia is correctable with spectacle lenses.
