Microdermabrasion

What is the MD Peel Microdermabrasion System?
The MD Peel Microdermabrasion System is a revolutionary method of providing a rejuvenation of the skin. It uses a unique system composed of a compressor and a suction pump (vacuum) that works together to pulse sterile Corundum Micro-Crystals onto the skin with controllable intensity. The unit simultaneously vacuums the area and removes the exfoliated skin cells, leaving the skin instantly smoother.

What conditions can be treated?
Conditions such as fine facial lines especially around the eyes and mouth, pigmentation, sun damage, acne scarring and uneven texture can all benefit from Microdermabrasion treatments.

What is involved in a treatment?
After a thorough facial cleansing, the Microdermabrasion hand piece is precisely moved along the surface of the skin, exfoliating the dead skin cells and helping to even out the imperfections. After the face and neck have been exfoliated fully, the areas in need of more work can be given additional passes.

Are there any special precautions needed before or after a treatment?
Always follow these Rules: No Retinoid/Retinol or AHA usage for 3 days before the treatment, and for at least 3 days afterward. Additionally, maintaining healthy skin through proper skin care products, healthy diet and skin supplements is essential for good skin.

What about special care after the treatment?
We provide advanced healing products for home care use to support the office treatments to enhance and maintain results.

Will one treatment work or will I need more?
While you may see visible results after the first treatment, lasting and more significant results are obtained through a series of 4 - 8 or more treatments. The number of treatments is dependent upon the condition being treated.

How often does the treatment need to be repeated?
This depends on the condition and personal desires of the patient because treatment may be repeated as often as every 7 - 10 days.

What will my skin look like after a treatment?
The skin will have a warm, pink glow that will diminish over the next 24 hours and will appear healthier.

Will there be any pain or is anesthesia required?
Treatments are generally not uncomfortable and no anesthesia is required.
